How does ScanBox Pro work without internet?
Traditional tools upload your files to their servers to process them. ScanBox Pro uses modern browser features (WebAssembly and JavaScript compilers) to download the processing logic onto your device once. Once loaded, the tools run entirely inside your browser's local memory sandbox, requiring zero internet access.
Is it really free? Are there upload file limits?
Yes, it is 100% free with no registration or payment required. Because we do not upload files to server farms, we do not pay for heavy cloud processing. This zero-server-cost architecture allows us to run the utility suite free of charge with no artificial file limits.
Why does my browser lag during video compression?
Video compression is a highly CPU-intensive task. Since the compression runs directly on your computer's or phone's processor (via WebAssembly), your browser may utilize up to 100% of your device's resources. We recommend closing other tabs while compressing heavy files.
How do I install ScanBox Pro as a mobile or desktop app?
ScanBox Pro is a Progressive Web App (PWA). If you are on Google Chrome or Safari, click the 'Add to Home Screen' or 'Install App' prompt in the URL bar (or the Share menu on iOS). This installs a lightweight local app launcher that works completely offline.
